Phase 2 of Season of Discovery raises the skill cap for professions to 225. That means you can now train professions to Expert level. Fewer trainers are able to train this skill level than Journeyman, so you may need some help locating the correct one to level up. We’ll direct you to the appropriate trainers for every profession in this guide!

Profession Training Requirements

To train Journeyman skill, you need to have 50 skill points in the profession and your character must be at least level 10.

To train Expert skill, you need to have 125 skill points in the profession and your character must be at least level 26.

You can’t currently learn Artisan skill in Season of Discovery. We expect it to be introduced in Phase 3, when it will require 200 skill points and a character of at least level 41.

Expert Profession Trainers

You can learn Expert skills from these trainers as well as from Artisan trainers.

Expert Secondary Professions

Expert secondary professions (Cooking, First Aid, and Fishing) are not learned directly from the NPCs, but from books they sell. These books are not soulbound and can be traded, so you can buy them on an alt or from the Auction House.
