EU Server Free Character Transfers For WotLK’s Launch

Following the announcement that free character transfers from high population NA servers would become available in anticipation of WotLK’s launch, many players started wondering if Blizzard would be doing the same thing for EU servers, as they usually announce such things simultaneously for both regions. Thankfully, it turns out they are, so players who aren’t happy on their current server, and players who might be worried that their high / full population server might get very laggy and busy after the launch of WotLK, can now claim a free character transfer to another server.
Just like it was the case on NA servers, these free character transfers can only be claimed by players on the more populated servers, and only when transferring to low population servers. Players who are interested should transfer ASAP, as Blizzard has stated that they will only last until WotLK launches on September 25/26, and may even be shut down without warning before that, if realm populations change in a way Blizzard does not consider acceptable.

While we intend to keep these Free Character Transfers open through the next two days and until the launch of Northrend content, we strongly encourage players who wish to use a Free Character Transfer to do so as soon as possible. Free Character Transfers may be closed without warning as we continue to evaluate the populations of realms.
