Heroic Keys Require Honored Reputation in Phase 4 – TBC Classic

Players have long complained that gearing up alts is a tedious process, as you have to grind through multiple normal dungeons in order to be able to do heroics, which drop useful items for new characters. No more!

In a post on the official forums, Aggrend confirmed that starting in Phase 4, coupled with the release of the Zul’aman raid, all heroic keys will require Honored reputation to purchase, rather than Revered. This change matches how Blizzard originally handled heroic keys in the original Burning Crusade, with the same change coming with patch 2.3, the patch that brought us Zul’Aman.

This change will certainly be a very nice quality of life improvement for players leveling alts, as it will cut down on the grind necessary to do heroics significantly. So if you’ve been hesitating with picking up that last item your character can use from a heroic because it was too tedious to get the rep for it, well, here’s your chance!
