PvE Marksmanship Hunter Pre-BiS and BiS Gear

Below you will find what would be considered your Pre-Raid BiS gearset, and as each new phase is released, this page will be updated to reflect the available gear for each phase’s BiS section.

Pre-Raid BiS Gear (And Other Options)

Armor

• Head: Mask of the Deceiver (50 Badges of Justice) or Helm of the Claw
• Neck: Choker of Vile Intent (25 Badges of Justice) or Bone Chain Necklace or Earthen Mark of Razing
• Shoulders: Beast Lord Mantle
• Cloak: Auchenai Death Shroud or Cloak of the Craft
• Chest: Beast Lord Cuirass
• Bracers: Felstalker Bracers or Spymistress’s Wristguards (If you need the Hit Rating)
• Gloves: Beast Lord Handguards
• Waist: Girdle of the Deathdealer or Rune-Engraved Belt
• Legs: Beast Lord Leggings
• Feet: Fel Leather Boots or The Master’s Treads or Felboar Hide Shoes
• Ring: Ravenclaw Band
• Ring: Kaylaan’s Signet or Slayer’s Mark of the Redemption
• Trinket: Bloodlust Brooch (41 Badges of Justice)
• Trinket: Abacus of Violent Odds
  • Icon of Unyielding Courage – This trinket would place you way above hit cap, with the only benefit being the on-use effect for 1,200 armor penetration if combined with the Beast Lord Armor set’s 4-piece bonus

Weapons

• One-Handed: Claw of the Netherwing Flight and Vindicator’s Brand or Claw of the Watcher
  • Note: While Adamantite Weightstone affects both ranged damage and critical strike chance, most Hunters choose to use two Fist Weapons; Claw of the Watcher and Boggspine Knuckles or Stormreaver Warblades
• Two-Handed: Sonic Spear or Hellscream’s Will (Requires Exalted with The Mag’har) or Hellforged Halberd (Alliance – Requires Revered with Honor Hold) or Blackened Spear (Horde – Requires Revered with Thrallmar)
• Ranged: Veteran’s Musket (Alliance – Requires Exalted with Honor Hold) or Marksman’s Bow (Horde – Requires Exalted with Thrallmar)

Phase 1 BiS (And other options)

Armor

• Head: Cowl of Defiance or Mask of the Deceiver (50 Badges of Justice)
• Neck: Choker of Vile Intent (25 Badges of Justice) or Worgen Claw Necklace
• Shoulders: Bladed Shoulderpads of the Merciless
  • If aiming for the 4-set bonus from Beast Lord set, we would use Beast Lord Mantle
• Cloak: Drape of the Dark Reavers
• Chest: Chestguard of the Conniver or Primalstrike Vest (Requires Elemental Leatherworking)
  • If aiming for the 4-set bonus from Beast Lord set, we would use Beast Lord Cuirass
• Bracers: Felstalker Bracers or Nightfall Wristguards
• Hands: Gloves of Dexterous Manipulation or Liar’s Tongue Gloves
  • If aiming for the 4-set bonus from Beast Lord set, we would use Beast Lord Handguards
• Waist: Girdle of the Deathdealer or Rune-Engraved Belt
• Legs: Skulker’s Greaves or Scaled Greaves of the Marksman
  • If aiming for the 4-set bonus from Beast Lord set, we would use Beast Lord Leggings
• Feet: Edgewalker Longboots or Fiend Slayer Boots
• Ring: Garona’s Signet Ring
• Ring: Ring of a Thousand Marks
• Trinket: Bloodlust Brooch (41 Badges of Justice)
• Trinket: Abacus of Violent Odds

Weapons

• One-Handed: Claw of the Netherwing Flight and Blade of the Unrequited
  • Note: While Adamantite Weightstone affects both ranged damage and critical strike chance, most Hunters choose to use two Fist Weapons; Claw of the Watcher and Boggspine Knuckles or Stormreaver Warblades
• Two-Handed: Sonic Spear (If you need the Hit Rating) or Legacy
  • Mooncleaver, by default, may appear better than these two, but Legacy provides more Attack Power, and only 1.33% less critical strike chance
• Ranged: Sunfury Bow of the Phoenix

*The Demon Stalker Armor set isn’t necessarily worth aiming for as both set bonuses are quite low in terms of benefits for us.

• Neck: Telonicus’ Pendant of Mayhem or Choker of Vile Intent (This will help maintain your Hit Cap)

• Hands: Rift Stalker Gauntlets
