The stresstest post with the announcement of the postponement was taken off the pinboard in the official wow US forum.
I can confirm that the German forum did the same.

this post called it a "global" test so i would assume the final stress test will be for everyone.

So you need an ongoing subscription in order to participate I suppose.

Wew lads

Probably. But launch day is coming up in less than four weeks at this point. It's less of an issue now than it was subscribing 6 months in advance to try and catch a beta invite. We're creeping up on launch day where we all need subscriptions anyway. It's almost go time.

At the same time I don't feel like it is that good idea for me to participate in the final stress test as I don't wanna take the freshness from it.

Yeah that's legit too.

I've been doing the opposite and spending 4-5 hours a day grinding classes to level 20 on a private server to pass the time, lol. I'm gonna be tired of all the starting zones by the time classic actually launches.

This was my line of thinking too. I went ahead and put down a 6 month subscription for the drake in retail. Now I'm good to go (theoretically) for the final test, name reservation, and game release! Super hype :)

I did the same things for weeks too, but since it's less than a month away I'm not doing it right now. Instead I'm playing warcraft 3 RoC and FT again to get back into it like I did before I touched WoW that many years ago.

I never played warcraft 3. Maybe I should do that for the next few weeks instead. Diablo 2 was my game leading into WoW the first time around.

Maybe that's what I need to do... go level up a paladin on D2.

Remember the older patches before Zeal was capped at 5 swings? Put enough points into Zeal and get stuck there taking 20 swings at a time with something slow

Oh god I did this, wield a big slow 2h weapon with maxed zeal and get stuck surrounded by some Corrupt Rogues!

I was around 11/12/13 years old when I was playing D2. I didn't know wtf I was doing, and thought my Minotaur 2H axe was the shit at the time. I ran around with a big 2H axe on my Paladin for a long time before my buddies pointed out that paladins needed a fast 1H weapon and a shield to be viable, lol.

To this day I even still remember the name of that damn Minotaur axe.

I also remember replacing it with a Baranar's star and that made a huge difference.

There was also that damn block rate bug at around level ~95 or something. Go past that level and the block rate would go down and you'd lose duels. I had to pitch a level 99 paladin and level a new one until like level 92 and leave it parked there.

Stress Test is usually lvl 0 - 5 only I believe. You might not feel that steals away too much from the experience.

I wanted to go on simply to time how long it would take to run over to Mulgore from Orc starting Zone, without using a pserver.
