Seeing as the original poster for "The Guilds of Barrens Chat" has become inactive, I've taken it upon myself to volunteer to take over, update the list, and keep it updated.Guilds will be listed here divided by region, then faction, and then in alphabetical order. They will have their guild orientation marked next to their name. If you wish to know what type of realm they will be on, please look at the guild's details. Okay here we go.....

I will playing prot warrior in vanilla, I’ll be playing warlock as my alt.

I have with me a few IRL friends, most of us played vanilla together, some joined in TBC.

We are UK based

We play Horde

We will want a PvP server I imagine we haven’t finished discussing this yet.

We play both PvE and PvP
(I think the general idea we have is clearing content and gearing then when it’s on farm to PvP more)

I’m waiting on a server list to be released so I can monitor community choices to determine what server will be a good choice to play on and won't be dead in six months.

At this moment I can commit Roughly the following:

1 x Tank (me)
1 x mage
2 x priest
1 x hunter
1 x Druid
5-10 undecided players.

I am slowly bringing in other people we know as well so this could become more when we have a release date and start recruiting more of our friends.

So the real question is, what guild needs a bunch of nostalgic idiots wanting to enjoy the return to WoW

Raids: Current plan is min. 3 major raids per week. (1 WPvP raid + 2 PvE raids) with Loot Council. Additional details (such as raid times, spots etc.) will be handled after the game launches. The WPvP raids are not be mandatory, but they will provide an advantage as a Raider in ties against other players when deciding for loot.

I speak a little (VERY little..) Spanish if that's of any interest but I'm afraid my guild is horde side Daisy.
I don't think they will make actual Spanish servers for classic though. I think they will likely be very conservative with the amount of servers they open up at first, as they might not expect THAT much long term interest. We'll have to prove them wrong!

On a sidenote, I have finished the very most basic barebones of my guild forum, and so registration to join Monstrous Bear Hugs has finally opened fully. Hoping to see lots of people willing to help me build a friendly and active community :)

It's really embarrassingly retro-basic but it'll do to kick things off! It uses a little of the stuff also found on barrens chat (and I've tried to explain that and make a link in the actual forum, but do let me know if I need to make a clearer reference teebling!)
Do mind that it is not https, so there will be like *this site isn't secure!* and such coming from e.g. firefox and chrome. Since it's a free subdomain I couldn't get free SSL.
But it's not like you need to fill in your bank information or something, it's just a wow guild forum, so I imagine it should be fine..

I'm doing a bit of window shopping in your tech section but a lot of it seems a little beyond my skill level..
There's so much info and fun to be had in this forum that tbh I'd want any member who didn't already know this place to come have a look to be honest :p

If memory serves me right it's 10s (or 1g?) for the guild charter and 10g for tabards.
But it has really been a long time since I made a guild so I could be wrong about that..
