Slow and steady enjoys the race! :-)

Aim to tank as many dungeons I can during leveling. Focus on the community!

Also, ain’t a student no more. Got them obligations now..

In vanilla I did things relaxed and loved it. When Burning Crusade came out, I was one of the first ten people on my server to hit 70. That was fun too. But my best leveling memories from Vanilla were all the complexities of getting 5 man groups together. I see no point in skipping the best parts, since my other favorite parts were the Honor Grind, and world pvp, which I won't be able to do well in until I have my pvp gear (warlocks scale too well with gear, and don't start off very good).

I am a relaxed player myself but this experience will be even more relaxed and different for me. I can only play a couple hours a day to keep my playing time in the off peak hours. Satellite internet sucks but at least I can play the game so I'm happy about that. It's going to be fun again and I can't wait for my daily short fix.

I'll be trying to maintain a balanced experience, doing profs and dungeons with it questlines as I level.
Going Orc Warlock to help groups with summoning.

Yeah, it's just as silly as asking "casual or min/max?"

You know that most players fall somewhere in between, nothing's black or white etc.

In my experience, casual players don't enjoy this game any more or less than any other category of players, they just say to themselves that they are taking it slow to enjoy it better because they are envious of the other category of players and can't commit as much as them.

To answer most of the casuals here: you don't want to fall behind the server in terms of leveling. People aren't going to rush Scholomance and BRD 24/7 forever. Once the large bulk of players gets to 60, they spam those dungeons for a few weeks and then they're done, no reason to go back there and waste anotger 2-3 hours - and you won't see another bulk of players as large as the one from the game launch hitting 60 and spamming dungeons all the time.

Same thing with raiding - you think once people are done with 3 tiers of raiding they're going to prefer a pre-raid BiS to a guy that's been raiding for a few months? Unlikely.

Same thing with low level dungeons, elite quests etc.

Lul true on somewhat level about dungeons but there is always gonna be somebody runnin or u can get a group up always. In 1 min? Maybe not but u are not in a hurry so why care, do it next day etc. There is always gonna pop up some fresh guilds who do the content u want to do or can. Made me lul

Kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place in regards to this. I want to level at my own speed as fast as possible but my friend really wants to level with me too :3 still have time to decide on that tho..

I don't want to rush the experience of leveling, I've waited 14 years to experience a fresh official vanilla WoW server, I'm going to savour it. Dungeons, world PvP, helping friends and guildies. I get the appeal of speedrunning, but not as a first character on fresh blizzard server and not to get to end game content ASAP, leveling is a fun social activity and I can't wait!

Yeah, there was so much more to the game than just being "first" at whatever objective. I think that's where those obessessing over 'world firsts' or 'realm firsts' lose sight of things. Sure, if that's their thing they can go right ahead, but to me... being 'first' in Classic means little to nothing when this has pretty much all been done by those who've came before in Vanilla.

Speeding through with the odd dungeon with friends. I've done the content to death for years on private. I just want to get to the portion of the game that I enjoy, which is endgame and high level PvP. I personally think the leveling process is overrated. Didnt like leveling the first time I did it. Have done it many many many times since. The only thing that salvages leveling for me is taking the odd break to do a dungeon with friends or ganking others as I level.

I've played private servers enough times to know where everything is by now, this time around my play time will be restricted, so because I have little choice, I have to speed level.

I have seen players speed-level hardcore mode... Miles ahead of everyone else and hardly leaving their toon logged off. Not something I could do.
I can't take time off work to play.

I find if I speed level for too long my mind gives up and I'll drift doing other things like professions, but there's nothing wrong with doing that because it's helpful later on, and I never run a dungeon if I have no quests for it or don't need gear.

Quite relaxed I'd say, I enjoy doing professions and such while leveling. If you get gold for Qs at level 60 then I'm probably going to take my time and try do all the Qs in the zones I start aswell.

I'm very torn. I really love the old school rpg style of reading your quest log and actually understanding what you're doing, even for the basic "kill a few wolves" quests it is just so much more engaging to have to work out the details yourself instead of just following an arrow.
On the other hand, I'm planning on leveling a few alts so I don't outpace my friends when they're not playing. I'm assuming I'll play a lot more than them. I'll probably speed level as much as possible on at least one of my alts.

Have first week off, where I will rush, after that and after I've hopefully reached lvl 35 - 40 during the first week I will be taking it slowly and lvling the final stretch in the evenings :)

35-40 should be reachable as a casual. I see me at 30 after 24h :p
My plan is to get to level 60 as soon as possible. Let's see, Saturday would be a dream - Sunday will probably be reality.

Slowest leveler in the wordl probably :D Always going around helping people, doing dungeons even multiple times, looking for rare recipes, gathering materials to craft them etc.

I'm never interested in reaching 60, because I don't raid at all. Everything else: that's my content :-)

That is why I love World of Warcraft, you can do so much stuff and the game fits to everyone.
You just have to find yourself!
For a while I had a low level rogue on private servers, so around level 20-30 with totally crazy gear and I just killed people and sometimes even have one shot mages and co.

Welcome to the World of Warcraft! :)

LOL, trying to be funny

No I am gonna enjoy everything about leveling that I can!
I am not gonna go too slow but I most definitely wont rush to miss things I missed in 2004!
And maybe remember things that I forgot!

So the moral of the story is don't drink and play WOW, you might be a human paladin leveling in Undercity, dont do it lol!

Moral of the story is to drink a ton of holy wine and smite undeads!
Semi speed is probably what I’ll end up doing.

Doing a mix of both I guess. Taking steps to ensure a fast leveling experience because I want to be among the first that's ready to raid in my guild, but I'm not going to go absolutely insane and focus everything on leveling fast
