Another noob question for you all because I am confused...
I hear a lot of people say that if you /sit, you open yourself up to 100% crit chance. I have seen this in guides, the speedrun thread and other places too.
What confuses me is that I also heard somewhere else that this was actually patched out of the game at some point, but I don't know when.
So... in 1.13, if you sit will you get crit?
/sit to be crit should work at launch but talents that work with being crit (Reckoning, Enrage etc) won’t work with crits from /sit.

To clarify, /sit proc’ing does work on private servers but it isn’t supposed to for Vanilla.

Yes, that is exactly right. If I remember it correctly, it was possible at one time in retail Vanilla, but it got patched quite quickly. Or maybe it was the "frontstab". One of the two definitely. :smile:
Seems like talents won't help with crit. It's too bad I had some fun ideas surrounding Paladin Reckoning Dps in a raid.
The only thing it really works for is getting rage for a warrior, which isn't particularly useful on its own if you can't trigger enrage, etc.

Ah ok, so you will still have a 100% chance to be crit by sitting... but talents which proc something ‘on crit’ won’t crit at all or they will still crit but not provide the proc?

I believe this is the outcome. You will be crit, but you will not proc crit related talents/abilities.
