Seasonal Events in Classic?

Kind of a fluff topic I know, but what seasonal events existed in Vanilla? I did actually used to enjoy the season based events and micro holidays in WoW - like even if it was just for some random cosmetic item that I am going to wear for about 5 minutes. I feel they do make the game feel alive and relevant. Is there any speculation for what might show up in Classic?

I had forgotten about most of them but looks like this page sums it up:
https://vanilla-wow.fandom.com/wiki/Event

I don't believe there was any indication about which special events would make a return aside from the Darkmoon Faire.

So I found in the archives https://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/events/calendar /">a calendar of events from 2006. Assuming that this was all in the 1.12 data this is probably what we'll be seeing. The call to arms events obviously won't be in at launch since they're not releasing PvP then, but the rest probably will be.

I absolutely loved the valentines day event in retail, so I hope some iteration of it ends up in Classic. The Halloween event is also a great fun time that can be brought into Classic.

Wow, if this is accurate there will be loads on during the year!

What surprised me was apparently there was a seasonal system built in to certain fish you can catch? Like Winter Squid - I have no memory of that.

I believe these continue to exist today, in the current version of BfA. I may be mistaken on that.

Personally I love the extra flavour and variety from seasonal events. It just adds more content to be lapped up on a regular basis.

I guess this could be really cool in terms of making gold (assuming recipes need certain fish), obviously creates some supply and demand on the Auction House.

Same here. The last time I really got into that even stuff was the Brewfest back during the early days of Cat.
This time around I really am looking forward to experiencing the classic, pre-Cat events, without a flying mount;;

Damn man I think it was the same for me. Brewfest was reaaally fun. I think these events are gonna be great in classic, with lots of people (without sharding!!!) getting together and just having fun

It's unfortunate that Brewfest wasn't in vanilla WoW; it first happened during Burning Crusade. I'll miss it in Classic...

Same thing with the Headless Horseman. He won't be there, either.
