I personally go for efficiency over speed. I max out professions and farm a lot while leveling. Since the base patch rushing into MC isn't worth while since most Pre-bis is better than MC epics. So I spend more time grinding gold and obtaining pre-bis vs rushing to 60.

Here is my warrior at level 57 full majority pre-bis. When I hit 60 I also got my epic mount. This is all during MC patch during northdale. I dived right into BWL once it released while farming MC.

This is basically what I plan to do again on classic. Max professions and jump on making gold asap, farm pre-bis as easly as possible. I think my first pally pre-bis is at 51 so 51-60 is pre-bis farming and farming gold. I'll hit 60 through dungeon XP.
