Stumbled upon Warcraft Realms.com and found my old character! I remember it taking me a while to get to 60 but never that long!

Apparently it took 13/14 year old me took One year and Two months to get to 60!

Let’s hope I beat that time come re-release!
How long did it take some of you guys?

Cool!

For some reason mine starts at level 55 so I can't really say how long it took.

It did take me nearly a month to do the last 5 levels though, jeez.

I remember my Paladin hit 60 a week before TBC; that must have been the 9th of January 2007. According to the site I was level 25 in May of 2006. Deducting from that I must have taken almost a year to get from 1 - 60

Wow, I was lvl 60 on the Second of September. I always though I needed way longer. Really interesting that there is website that still has that data.

Edit: After looking up some friends, it seems there was probably a data update on September 2nd. Maybe It took me even less time.

i started in September 2006 and hit lvl 58 on TBC release day afternoon. So it was 4 1/2 months for me. back then i was in middle school and could play all day since school ended at 1pm. one thing to acknowledge is that in that time period everybody was preparing for TBC so there were almost no dungeon groups for level 45-55. i remember grinding level 55-58 solo.

It seems to be a bit all over the place. My first char is 31st of December, 69? So 50 years ago!?
In fact, most of my chars are first seen = last seen..
Fun to see the name of my first server again though, from back before the RP PVP servers were released.
Don't really remember much from how much it took to ding 60, but I do remember being among the first shamans on the server and so I got invited to what became the leading raid guild, but they had a reputation as assholes so I turned it down and gloriously became a guildless scrub for a few weeks before rerolling to another char. Talk about properly knowing my priorities..

It took me around 8 Months. I know that i had around 20days played, have all my screenshots from back then, so it can be right. I played a lot of WSG when it got released.

And depending on the Items you have it can be worth thousands. I have still a hand of a forsaken from the AV quest or the light saber ;)

This served as a sore reminder that after an extended hiatus from the game, I deleted my vanilla alliance characters so that I could reroll horde on the same server and with the same name for Wrath. I had forgotten about this and now I'm very sad.

Post some screenshots! I love seeing old accounts restored with items that are unobtainable.

The account was hacked in 2007, the hackers also hacked my email and changed everything to squiggle language so I couldn’t do anything at all.

When hotmail switched to outlook they purged all the old unused emails, I was actually doing a search for the email and found it didn’t exist anymore so I went to hotmail, recreated the original email account then did a password reset on the account through the battle net launcher, then logged in to the account which was completely empty and contacted support. They removed the account entirely then recreated it from the old data with a new battle net accountfor me.

There were loads of level 1 random chars full of gold and about 700 arcanite bars and all sorts lol

Unfortunately the actual characters were naked.

Still, I got my account back 12 years after losing it to a Taiwanese hacker (yeah the account I actually logged into had been created after as a battle net account without connecting the original wow account to it all it had was Starcraft 2 on it so if that hacker was still using it to play he’s lost it now lol)

It was confusing but the result was a win for me so I’m content. I’ve put an Authenticator on it now and I’ll be using it for Classic :)

Yeh I don't know why it doesn't pickup my druid until he was 85?! I made him the day Jubei'thos launched 26th jan 2006, and the first time he was seen was 2011 or something? Weird.

Using that website indicates that it took me less than five months. It also shows that someone hacked my account and leveled me to 85.

Edit: Account recovered. Rather fast and easy. Blizzard customer support has improved dramatically.

Second Edit: The more I look over my old account the more I think that the person who hacked and leveled me to 85 was actually me. It's just that the game was so lacking in memorability by that point that I had no recollection of ever doing so. But all my lowbie alts were still there and looking at the patch notes for Cataclysm I saw that that is where they introduced reforging, which I do remember, so I must have played it.

i am really suprised by the amount of lost Accounts or hacked ones. I have my Bnet acc since WC3 (technically since WC2) and never lost any other Account to hackers.

Huh, cool. Reminded me of the guild I ended in, which I'd compeltely forgotten about. Looks like it took me about 11 months, though I seem to remember unregging for a month or two around level 51 and then coming back and finishing up around the end of 2005.

This was after I'd made a character at launch, leveled him to like 31 or 32, and deleted him and remade beacuase I wanted to change his name! Seems insane to me to have done that now, but my friends kept rerolling other characters anyway so all it did was narrow the gap, I guess.
