Hello people!
I'm relatively new to WoW, I first started playing just when BfA came out. Then I took a break and came back this summer to play some more BfA, but I kinda lost the desire to play because modern WoW is just a grind to lvl 120 basically. You don't need to care about professions and gear until you get to the latest expansion which is something I don't like. It's always been sad for me to play BC or WotLK content in the modern WoW, because I know that I wasn't around during these times. You just do a couple of quest chains and you're already ready to leave the zone.
I only went to school when WoW launched and I remember dreaming of playing it during Cataclysm expansion when I read articles in Igromania (a Russian magazine) about interesting stuff happening in the world. I didn't even know about gameplay that much, I just wanted to experience events that the community made itself. I couldn't afford buying the game and the monthly subscription because I was like 12-13 years old. I remember finally convincing my mom to buy me that WoW Cataclysm DVD in the videogame store. But I was frustrated when I found out that it was only the expansion itself and I needed to have the base game and the subscription... As I mentioned I played WoW properly for the first time when BfA launched and I must say that this experience is not very appealing for me. BUT NOW FINALLY I will get to play the WoW where all of the things actually have a purpose!
Hey everyone, a really nice community here, I've been lurking for a while but felt it's time to join in as well.
Started playing during TBC but I'd say I missed most of the expansion, dinged 70 around the time when Sunwell released. I played a lot during WotLK which remains my favourite expansions and burned out a bit during/after Firelands. After that I've played on and off but have levelled at least one char to max in each expansion. I'm currently playing retail but I don't have time for serious raiding so it's currently mainly BGs and arena.
Throughout the years I've played on both Alliance and Horde and I have multiple Affliction Warlocks (3), Restoration Shamans (3) and Protection Warriors (2). I'm planning on playing a bit on all of them in Classic but it remains to be seen which will be my focus.
I would love to get through Naxx40 as I enjoyed the raid in WotLK but likely I won't have the time to go beyond levelling and going through the dungeons.

Hello everybody, i'm Zolid, a newcomer in WoW Vanilla ^^
I've started my journey in World of Warcraft in Cataclysm and i've no idea how it felt to play in Vanilla, TBC or WoTLK. I've played through all my life tanks, to be specific warriors. I found really interesting changing my playstyle.
By the way, I don't have any friends that want to play with me in WoW Classic, so it'll be nice if i could find 'party-fellows' or guilds with people to play with.

So happy to be a part of the community. I started playing WoW back in 2005, which I still believe to this day was the best version of WoW. I will never forget when our guild Tank got Thunderfury before BC came out. Our guild was called 'RoE' on Khaz'goroth. It was a huge moment after so much work and dedication for our guild. It was back when the Thunderfury blade had no texture and the whole blade was just solid black hahaha! I am so hyped for Classic to come out. Got many of my old WoW friends coming back for it its going to be a blast!

I hold current record for both beta 1-40 human rogue and 1-60 pserver human rogue.
I speed run and create my own routes as a hobby. Nothing in writing, just all in my head for flexibiity.
45 hour 13 min 1-40 on my first and only beta run. FA, Cooking, Skinning up to date as well.

Hello! I've been looking forward to Classic for a few months now and came across this forum while looking up information about Classic! I've never really been a forum user but I thought I would give it a try and see if I can find enjoyment in a forum about a topic that I am very excited about!
I've played Classic all the way through to Mists and mained a Paladin. I'm looking forward to playing a paladin again and hopefully making some actual progression now that I'm a little older and can grasp the more complex components of the game that I couldn't appreciate as a child.
If anyone had any advice on ways to become a more active forum user please send them my way. I will try my best to keep up with the posts here!

Looking forward to being on classic.
My life motto is keep it simple stupid. This brings me back to my roots. I am likely to play a druid, maybe alliance since they seem to be underdogs typically. I plan to roll on a RP-PVP or RP server, whatever they plan to do.
Right now I want to get my foot in the door and chat some folk up about Guild plans and see whats there. I dont want to end up guildless when other groups are raiding.
I have decades of experience in roleplay and warcraft. Still have some boxed sets that I have all the pieces sitting in the box instead of display. (of course all the codes used :D)

Stopped playing WoW in WoD and started in vanilla. Only found out about the imminent release of Classic about 2 months ago. I was so stoked and have been literally counting down the days until release. I’m an older player, 47 to be exact and a Grandad to boot. I’ve always been into rpgs, PnP in the early days, then vidya, mostly Diablo then heavily into NeverWinter Nights before making the jump to WoW. I stopped playing as I was in the Navy and didn’t have the time to commit but more than that the game had gotten so stale. It seemed like a chore rather than the fun it had once been. The wonder had been lost. I’ve tried retail again recently and it just doesn’t grab me. I don’t want to knock it too much as many people still enjoy it. However, I’ve warned my wife to stand by as I’m going to be stuck in my office for the foreseeable future. I’m semi-retired now and work as a drugs detection dog handler and am only on watch 2 nights a week. More time to level up. Hope to see some of you in Azeroth!

Hey everyone, nice to meet you all! Glad I found these boards, could be fun meeting some like-minded people.
Me, I'm just another 31-year old millennial who was there for vanilla back in 2005 but did not quite appreciate how amazing it was at the time. WoW Classic will be my second chance at a lot of firsts, like getting to 60, raiding Onyxia and Molten Core, opening the gates of Ahn'Qiraj, etc.
Of course, being an adult with a job, a house and responsibilities *shudder* limits my playtime somewhat, but I will be perfectly happy playing for an hour or two every day. Hoping to hit 60 during phase 1 so I can actually enjoy the raid progression. Going to be a lot of fun making friends along the way!
I have no idea what server I will be playing on and I haven't even decided between PvE and PvP yet, but I am definitely looking to join a guild at some point. I'm based in the EU region so any friendly raiding guild there welcoming a relative newcomer to the content will be on my radar.
