never understood those ironman challenges because you do not get something from doing it

I think it can definitely be done on a Warlock since their effectiveness is not tied to gear that much, at least while leveling.

I personally wouldn't do it, but I'm sure someone will do it on a hunter. I can't imagine any other class being able to accomplish such a task in Vanilla.

The tragic thing is, that these are the kinds of things people have to resort to in retail WoW to get a challenging leveling experience. Essentially an attempt to make retail feel more like vanilla... Food for thought :wink:

Its not about what will you get. Its about the insane experience...I did it on official and I would try it on vanilla too XD

Ironman has and always will be done. It's not just a World of Warcraft thing and yes it can be and will be done on Classic.

I dont see the point of this. Its just grinding away mobs below your level very slowly for a very long time. Its not challenging by any means, unless you consider not getting bored a challenge.

People will find aways to do the simplest thing and then just take their time.
There's a guy called Doubleagent with a Character that never left the Pandaren starting zone because Herbalism gives exp in Retail.
So he's a Max Level Pandaren that is Neutral with factions. Because you only choose your faction after you leave the island.

If someone do finish it then it would be interesting to see what kind of /played time they have on the character. It would probably take a few multiple times as long.

To me, the WoW ironman challenge doesn't make enough sense / provide a unique enough challenge. I play a hardcore ironman in OSRS which I find incredibly fun, but the rules of that are a bit different and provide a unique challenge. I'd like to see something similar in WoW, but that traditional WoW ironman just doesn't appeal to me in the same way.

Most people would tend to go hunter/warlock for obvious reasons. I could see Shaman/Druid working also, but slooooow.

Ironman challenge is personal enjoyment and feeling of accomplisment. If you like to play on highest difficulty, this is great thing. Without armory or stars this is impossible to check if somebody is legit in it. Itonman challenge is good content for stream or youtube series too.
