No... I'm practicing on a private Burning Crusade server :)
And I'm making notes of EVERYTHING. I'm making notes of the real level ranges of each zone. I'm making notes about the best way to powerlevel tailoring, blacksmithing, and cooking (make woolen bags from level 105-115, then red woolen bags from 115-125, then bolts of silk from 125-145, then back to red woolen bags from 145-150...). I have notes on which NPCs give which class-specific quests. I'm jotting down the vendor values of all the quest rewards so I know which ones to pick when none of them are appropriate for my class. I even have a "wow spider legs.txt" file that includes the following section:
fish oil used for shaman water-walking
naga scale 1 tailoring recipe
sharp claw 2 blacksmithing, 1 alchemy recipe
large fang 1 enchanting, 2 leatherworking, 3 blacksmithing
light feather used for "slow fall" and "levitate"
vibrant plume darkmoon faire???
torn bear pelt darkmoon faire???
small venom sac 1 first aid recipe
large venom sac 1 alchemy, 1 first aid, 1 rogue poison
shiny fish scales used for shaman water-breathing
discolored worg heart 1 alchemy recipe
raptor hide 3 leatherworking recipes
deviate scale 3 leatherworking recipes
long tail feather 1 leatherworking recipe
slimy murloc scale 2 leatherworking recipes
perfect deviate scale 2 leatherworking recipes
Notes on everything.
you forgot the small flame sac farmed from the whelps in wetlands for the fire res potion.
Currently just dueling and hanging out at https://pvp.henhou.se/
It's a fun little custom server made for premade bgs and dueling. Everything is layed out for you, so making a character and getting gear is easy
Henhouse ^
Surprised to see many are already playing on private servers. Personally, I wanna wait until classic drops. That way the experience is as fresh as possible. The withdrawal is kicking in pretty hard though, so I wouldn't blame anyone for taking a sneak peak

I didn't "forget" anything. I'm still at only level 42 and still making notes.

Yeah, I'm thinking I might suck it up and jump on a vanilla server. I plan on leveling semi-casually anyway, so I may just roll something I know I would never main and just fuck around.
Yeah, I'm getting a feel for levelling economies and making sure I can get a mount as soon as I hit 40. So far I've been able to get well over that 100 (90) gold mark even without tradeskills, so I don't think its going to be an issue.
Don't wanna burn myself out before Classic even hits. I know my main, I know my alt and the 12 years of playing the game is enough practice for now.

You only have one?

Glad you're enjoying it.

I'll have my Warlock, which I'm not all that interested in until Phase 3+ but I want to put the most /played on that.
My Rogue (Alt) who I'll play for solo-play fun during downtime.
My bank char who I'll funnel all my drops/gold to so I don't waste it pointless shit on the Auction House.
I have no interest in anything more than that, I don't think you really need anymore more than that. If I were to do alts it'd be just for 9 LW/Alch daily $$ if I can't be arsed to farm on my Warlock which only requires them all to be L35 max.

LOL. Only one bank char. That's cute.
I'll have:
- one bank alt for crafting recipes
- one bank alt just for cooking reagents
- up to five bank alts for non-cooking reagents:
-- one for ores, bars, stone, gems, and anything else that would be useful for blacksmithing and engineering
-- one for leathers, hides, scales, and anything else that would be useful for leatherworking
-- one for cloth, spider silk, venom glands, and anything else that would be useful for tailoring or first aid
-- one for herbs and anything else that would be useful for alchemy
-- one for everything else: Darkmoon Faire turn-ins, reagents used in multiple professions, enchanting garbage, pearls, whatever
I can probably condense those last five down to two or three

That's also a pretty decent compromise. Be careful you don't get too hooked and burn yourself out though!
Henhouse Thanks, it's good fun ;)

This will be mostly diffrent if you gold does not come from grey trash or general vendoring.
It is the same reason why I wouldn't play beta, don't wanna mess the feeling when I first step into the game again.
I mean the Endgame is something different to the leveling phase, actually I train, but focusing on the leveling phase.
I'm definitely practicing on a private server with Joana's guide. I'm making my own personal notes to which quests will be most congested and what levels I should just do dungeon runs instead of questing.

Each to their own, I have no use for any of that. Classic wow isn't build to be self efficient -- You'll literally be gimping your own progress if you do. Buy/Sell and only farm the best p/hr reagent or gold wise.
I'm 'uninformed' on how to "Private Server" - any good things I should google? I wouldn't mind tool'ing around to get the feel for it again as a primer.
