Male, but almost only play female characters except for undead

Male, but will play Orc Female because it just looks far more better than Orc Male in my opinion. No back pain and oversized shoulders.

I recall different estimates showing from 8% up to 20% of wow population being females. However when you look at hardcore gamers, be it heavy pvp-ers or pve-ers, theorycrafters, achievement whores or speed levelers they will be ~99% male. And anyone who spends significant time preparing e.g. reading up on forums is also more likely to be male.

And my anecdotal evidence from playing for quite a few years indicates that women are playing wow more for social aspect and journey rather than destination. And fun fact is that all women players I knew that made it to hardcore raiding were excellent healers or tanks but I recall no dps.

One of my friends in my vanilla guild was female, and I think she was the only female in the guild! She was hilarious and a good sport.

Male, but i play female chars. I don't know but female trolls are so cute and female orcs are simply gorgeous.

I was born a male but I self-identify as a hunter. I would like the option of hunter to be added to the survey so that it may be inclusive to other hunters like myself.

Male, will be playing Undead female because all of their animations are amazing.

Plus not many people roll Undead warrior, so there's that.
