Hi guys, I don't have beta access so I was wondering if anyone knew about the character boosts and how good they are in the TBC beta right now? I am deciding if I want to keep trying to powerlevel to prepare for the release or if I should wait and buy a boost. What do you guys think?
Good in what way? The gear is terrible on them for sure.
@furious That's what I meant really, just if it was even worth planning on using one. Is the gear like unusably bad? I'm just worried I won't make it to a high enough level to go to TBC content on release
The gear is trash but can replaced with Outland questing greens relatively quickly.
Gear isn't really a worry since as furious said quests quickly replace it. It's about the time saved if you want it or whatever you'd lose by not leveling. If you care about reputation or character attachment then obviously an instant 58 makes that a lot more challenging.
From my understanding, Blizzard has essentially created gear sets for the sake of Beta testing as essentially "filler," if you will. It's likely that as they said a while back now, we'll have high level Azeroth dungeon blues (I'm putting my money on the dungeon sets; "Valor," "Lightforge," etc.)
Thanks for replies everyone, I think I'll see how far I can get and get a boost as my backup plan
There’s 2 ways you can do a boosted character.
the first way is to take the lvl boost to what it is and keep the normal play and continue level to the tippy top.
the 2nd way to do it is to take the level boost may it be 100, and keep the normal play while keeping the level at 100.
