I think the concern for Blizz would be the appeal. For the same reasons they were hesitant to run two MMO's simultaneously. Each and every effort you make to create a new variation of the game or experience, reduces the demographic of players that will be interested in that specific variant of the game which segments the community. This is the same reason we are getting layering. It is safe. If Blizzard does not offer RP-PvP realms to start they can always add them later but they wont be able to remove them as easily. I'm not saying I agree, I think there would definitely be a large enough interest to host a few RP-PvP servers per region, but I also likely overestimate the interest level in Classic because I am biased. Blizz likely underestimates the interest in Classic because it is safe and makes good business sense. If the demand is there, you will see RP realms eventually. Either before launch or sometime after.

Agree with both of these points, which is why you shouldnt worry. If there is a large enough demand to validate running RP-PvP servers, you will likely get them. They just need to ensure the demand is there for both their own interests and the interests of the players who would roll there.

They probably will, just make sure to ask in their forums and reddit or support who is doing it. They need to see numbers, unfortunately.
