I don't think this is a good idea at all. We want full servers, classic works that way, is where the fun is.
It’s hardly fun when half the server can’t communicate with each other tho, which is why I’m ok with this and if it becomes a problem down the line we can solve it then.
There are 24 official languages in EU and whole continent goes to 200.
Keep going Blizzard, split player base even more!
They're not going to make servers for each language obviously. Russian is confirmed, I'm betting they'll do French, German and Spanish as well. But that's probably it.

Hey ho!
We are very pleased about the great interest and thank you for the passionate feedback we have received on this topic in the last few days.
After further review and consideration of your feedback, we will launch WoW Classic in Europe , in addition to English and Russian realms, with German and French realms as well. In this way, European WoW Classic players who want to communicate with others in German or French can do so from the first day in these languages.
Our plan is to test English, German, French and Russian realms in the final stress test. Although we have not yet set the final number of realms and realm types for each language, we will inform you about these details before the name reservation starts on August 13th.
Many Thanks! Merci beaucoup! Thank you very much!
Lol! They open german and french servers but they dont open a spanish one... what?
We agree with the many WoW Classic enthusiasts in Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia that it will be a very good thing for players in that part of the world to connect to realms that are hosted in that part of the world.
Planned it all along!
We will have Oceanic realms for WoW Classic, with game servers hosted in Australia, at launch on August 27 8, and we’ll let you know the names of the Oceanic realms before name reservations start on August 13.
Thanks!

I know, they can handle it pretty easy, but I just don't like the idea of splitting servers or whatever. lol

Language barrier would’ve split it already so I don’t believe there would be much change by just giving them their own servers and see how it works out.
The real solution is every player learns every in game race's language and we all just communicate using that.

Even though I no longer plan to play on EU servers, I really like that they are giving language specific realms.
Having a for example "non-official polish server" meant alienation of the playerbase on that realm and caused many problems.
Bullshit, just bullshit. I do not like this decision.
It shows once again how Blizzard is not standing behind his statements. And that's exactly what's likely to happen throughout Classic. Oh Rank 14 takes too long, no normal person can do that, mimimi.
HERE FOLK, RANK 14 in 3 WEEKS, EASY WITH THE HONORBOOST FROM THE SHOP.
There were localized servers at launch for both french and german players. That's totally vanilla-like.
Majority of Germans and French don't want to speak English just because that's how they are, guess it's a cultural thing or they are angry because of lost wars back in the day, and Spanish/Latin countries rarely can.
I'm swiss (french speaking) and I have no problem to speak english (I do at work). The issue I have with EU Realms is that it would have killed the community feeling we had back in 2005. I am still friend with people I met back then and we met several times IRL in France, something unachievable with an international guild, because you know people much less, you share less cultural references, you cannot small talk in ENG like you do in your original language, thus diminishing the community aspect of the game. And unlike games like TESO, if you find yourself surrounded by some foreign nation taking over your server like it happened in the past and only speaking their language (happened on Hakkar, taken over by italians, or some servers taken over by russians), you are screwed.
Lol! They open german and french servers but they dont open a spanish one... what?
Because their communities are roughly between 5 to 10 times bigger ?
I hope they also split Bayern and Germany. Would be a nice addition to the Language Realms.

Another feedback was taken care of I suppose? I preferred to have only english speaking realms, but since the community was of another opinion, Blizzard listened again. Always good to see them reacting properly :-)
Yay Us :D
