So, as far as I can see there are 5 options for instance group finding in Classic WoW, including 2 addons. You can either group with friends, ask in chat/in person, use the limited in game meeting stones/innkeepers or use an addon.

LFGShout is a simple addon that just posts for you in the chat channels.
ClassicLFG is a more full featured addon that gives you options like spec filters, automatic matchmaking, invite/decline buttons & more.

How do you feel about these & what will you be using?

I definitely won't be standing around in a capital city for four hours waiting for people to get their shit together, that's for sure.

I'll be using the chat channels while leveling, that worked fine back in TBC when i played, I assume it will work fine nowadays as well.

I think Discord will be a good way of finding groups.

I agree with those above. Most of these methods seem more complicated than I care to act on when playing Classic. I'm really just looking forward to that simplistic search for help in the chat channels or in person. I long for that. I may have to adjust depending on what becomes the norm, but that will be my method as of now.

I never thought about discord, that would be good.

I remember an addon that monitored chat and parsed out all the LFG / LFM / LF1M etc and displayed it by dungeon name. (SFK/RFC/etc) with time stamps. That way, you had a filtered list of everone lookging for stuff. Also, it posted on X minute interval for you.

Made fininding and making groups easier.

Anyone know of an addon like this?

I'll never use an addon that creates and LFG/RaidFinder feel after hating that system in retail since its creation. Thse systems are the downfall of the social construct of an MMO. Join group, faceroll mobs, type 'ty 4 run", leave. It's terrible.

Why use an addon?

/Macro
new macro LFG:
/1.General: LF2M Mage + Heal for Zul'Furrak
/4.World: LF2M Mage + Heal for Zul'Furrak

You can adjust it anytime you need. I do the same thing for guild recruitment.

Chat plus possibly discord. I've joined several of the server discords, they seem quite toxic in terms of discussion but might work fine for LFG purposes.
